After you have installed the software, it will run in trial mode. To activate it open the GUI, then click on the top menu Help -> License Status. It will open the Activator window where you can insert the serial key, then click the button "Activate" to activate the product.
Yes, you need an active Internet connection to activate or deactivate a license key. This is required to make sure your license key is valid and not expired.
If you get the error "Failed to connect to the server due to network error" in the activation window, it means NVTLicenseManager.exe or NVTActivator.exe failed to connect to the remote web server to validate the license key. You need to allow the following processes in your firewall to perform outbound connections on TCP port 443 (HTTPS):
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTActivator.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTLicenseManager.exe
C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\OSArmorDevSvc.exe
Yes, click here to open the Customer Portal web page. You will receive via email (check also the spam folder) a link to reset your password, make sure to use a 15+ chars strong password. From the Customer Portal you can manage all your purchased licenses.

You should allow or exclude all .exe and .dll files located in the following folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\
C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\
Then try to restart the PC and if problem persists, try to uninstall and re-install OSArmor.
It is possible your security software is blocking following processes:
C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\OSArmorDevSvc.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTLicenseManager.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTActivator.exe
Make sure they are allowed or excluded in your other security software. Then try to restart the PC and if problem persists, try to uninstall and re-install OSArmor.

downloads.osarmor.com
api.cryptlex.com
Just run the setup.exe file with following parameters:

Overwrite XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with your license key and make sure all the computers have an active Internet connection (very important).
The product will stop working and it will show the Activator GUI saying the license is expired. You need a valid (unexpired) license key to keep using the product.
Payments are securely handled by our partner FastSpring.
You can safely pay using PayPal or a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc).
On the checkout page, on the right sidebar "Your Payment" click on "Enter Promotional Code" link, then enter the coupon code and click the "Apply" button.
When you purchase a license it has a validity of 365 days (1 year) from when you made the purchase. So for example, if you purchase 10 licenses on 20 September 2020 then they will be valid until 20 September 2021 (for 1 year).
They will expire normally after 1 year from when you made the purchase.
You can test our product for 30-days so you can purchase a license only if it meets your requirements. For this reason we do not offer a refund for purchased licenses.
When you purchase a license you actually subscribe to a yearly subscription that is automatically renewed every 1 year from the date of when the purchase was made. Your payment method (credit card) will be automatically rebilled before the subscription expires. You will be notified via email one week before the subscription will expire.
Click here to manage or cancel your subscription. Then enter your email used during the purchase, you will receive a link to manage your orders and subscriptions.
If you cancel your subscription you will not be re-billed on the next charge. Your subscription (license key) will still be considered valid by our product until it will expire.
We just save your email address and your IP address. All details inserted during the order and payment phase are safely handled by our partner FastSpring.
No, payments are securely handled by our partner FastSpring.
Yes you will receive an email 2 weeks and 1 week before subscription expires.
FastSpring (our payment provider) will try to renew your subscription after 7 days from the first failed attempt, then if also this second attempt will fail, the subscription will be canceled automatically and the license key status will be set to "expired".
Invoices are handled by our partner FastSpring. You will receive the invoice to your email after that your payment has been successfully processed.
We do not officially support it anymore, however the product works fine on Windows XP SP3 and we have decided to make the product free for all XP users.
Windows Vista SP2, 7 SP1, 8, 8.1, 10 (32-bit & 64-bit).
Windows Server, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 (32 & 64-bit).
You need to update to Windows 7 SP1. The SP0 version is missing important updates that are required in order to run OSArmor. A possible workaround (untested) may be to install the Windows update KB2999226 (32-bit link, 64-bit link), then you will need to install VC 2015. However, most probably this will not work, best to install directly SP1.
Absolutely yes, our product is fully compatible with any other security software, it works fine with (just to name a few): Avira, ESET, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Avast, etc.
You should allow or exclude all .exe and .dll files located in the following folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\
C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\
Make sure they are allowed or excluded in your other security software. Then try to restart the PC and if problem persists, try to uninstall and re-install OSArmor.
No, it generally uses less than 50 MB of RAM, CPU usage is very low.
Yes, OSArmor has its drivers co-signed by Microsoft and supports Secure Boot.
Absolutely no, OSArmor works perfectly with UAC enabled (you should never disable UAC).
Nothing, just use the PC normally. OSArmor will protect your system in the background and will block suspicious processes behaviors automatically.
It will display a notification window and it will log the event in the .log file located here: C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\Logs\
Via the tray-icon menu (right-click with the mouse) or via the GUI application.
Yes, the GUI is used only to show you notifications, the OSArmorDevSvc (service) will still protect your system in the background. You should check the log files to see what has been blocked when the GUI is not running.
With default settings enabled you gain a good additional layer of defense and most malware delivery methods are blocked: VBS/JS/VBE/WSF scripts, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/etc exploit payloads, COM/PIF processes, and much more. This way you drastically reduce the possibility of getting infected by ransowmare, malware and other pests that spread via emails, scripts, maldocs, etc. By enabling some or most of the Advanced options (recommended only to experts) you can increase the protection layer.
Writing custom rules to block processes is simple, check out this page for more information. To add or edit your custom block rules just right-click the OSArmor icon in the system tray and click on "Custom Block-Rules". It will open the CustomBlock.db file with Notepad so that you can start writing your custom block rules.
Exclusion rules work like custom block rules, check this page. To open the Exclusions Helper GUI right-click OSArmor icon in the system tray and click on "Manage Exclusions". It will open a GUI that will help you write exclusion rules. If you like to hand-write rules just click "Open Exclusions" to open the Exclusions.db file with Notepad.
This happens if the OSArmor service (OSArmorDevSvc) is not running. Make sure OSArmorDevSvc is running and that it is not blocked by other security software. To do so, you need to allow or exclude the following .exe files in your other security software: C:\Program Files\NoVirusThanks\OSArmorDevSvc\OSArmorDevSvc.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTLicenseManager.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoVirusThanks\NVT License Manager\NVTActivator.exe
Then restart the PC, if problem persists try to uninstall and re-install OSArmor.
